Job Description: Utility Asset Manager
Position Summary:
The utility asset manager is responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of utility assets within the Energy and Utilities industry. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage and optimize the utility's asset portfolio, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans to optimize the performance and lifecycle of utility assets.
2. Monitor and evaluate the condition of utility assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
3. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of utility assets to identify maintenance needs, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.

5. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance, repair, and replacement of utility assets.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records, including asset location, condition, maintenance history, and relevant documentation.
7. Develop and implement asset tracking systems and tools to monitor the performance, availability, and utilization of utility assets.
8. Analyze asset performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
9. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact utility asset management practices.
10. Collaborate with regulatory bodies and auditors to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of utility asset management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
3. Proven experience in managing utility assets, preferably in the Energy and Utilities industry.
4. In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements related to utility asset management.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex asset-related issues.
6. Proficient in using asset management software and tools for tracking, monitoring, and analyzing asset performance.
